Lead Came Panel Work

Lead came panels are Ideal for the more traditional stained glass designs and with the use of bevels and bevel clusters. One of the drawbacks to leaded windows in the past was that necessity of metal reinforcing bars across the panels. Over the years the lead could stretch and sag because of the weight of the glass. Now days we have internally reinforced lead came which will prevent the lead from stretching which we use on all lead came windows that we construct. Below you will find photos of lead came window panels that we have constructed over the years. We can also incorporate some copper foiled sections inside of the lead came panel and we may also incorporate some etched and color filled etching within the leaded panels. The photo to the right is an example of this. The word Brewing was etched into the colored glass and then color filled with a contrasting color. That panel also incorporated numerous beveled glass pieces.
